Job summary

A leading assisted living community in Fremont is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to help with general maintenance and repairs. The ideal candidate will perform preventative maintenance on mechanicals, prepare rooms for new residents, and communicate effectively with residents and staff. Candidates must possess knowledge of facilities management, be skilled at building relationships, and be able to speak either Mandarin or Cantonese. Salary ranges from $20.00 to $23.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn operations systems management in assisted living.
• Skilled at building relationships with residents and staff.
• Must maintain resident confidentiality.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations required.
• Willingness to take a 2-step TB test.

• Perform repairs and do preventative maintenance on mechanicals
• Prepare rooms for new residents
• Communicate effectively with residents, other staff, and Maintenance Director on updates or issues that need to be addressed

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and/or ability to learn the theory and practice of facilities and operations systems management in an assisted living and dementia care community
• Skilled at building relationships with residents and staff members
• Ability to maintain resident confidentiality
• Knowledge and/or ability to learn federal, state, and local regulations
• Must be willing to take 2-step TB test
