Job summary

Down Home Ranch, Inc. is seeking a part-time Maintenance Assistant to perform on-site maintenance, support the Maintenance Manager, and help keep the grounds, buildings and vehicles in good condition.

The role requires a willingness to work Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 12:00pm, and to collaborate with staff to provide a high quality of life for individuals served by Ranch programs. Training and supportive supervision are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21; clean driving record and able to pass background check.
• Experience with vehicle, equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
• Comfortable working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and to stoop, kneel, sit and bend.

Responsibilities

• Implement the goals of Maintenance.
• Complete maintenance requests for all departments ensuring landscaping, buildings and vehicles are properly maintained and safe.
• Assess and perform repairs to electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; work with others to support Ranch programming.

MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT

PART TIME; NON EXEMPT

POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Assistant is a non-exempt hourly part-time assistant position located in Maintenance, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager. The Assistant completes on and off site maintenance and physical plant projects. The Assistant supports the mission of Down Home Ranch by ensuring the maintenance needs of the Ranch are completed accurately and within a reasonable amount of time. The Assistant will join with other staff in a high-level commitment to provide an excellent quality of life for the individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities served through Ranch programing. Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00am to 12:00pm; schedule and hours will be adjusted according to the needs of Down Home Ranch.

• Implement the goals of Maintenance
• Completes maintenance request for all departments and programs; ensure all landscaping, buildings and vehicles are properlymaintained and safe
• Assesses and completes repairs to electrical, mechanical and plumbing
• Ability to work with, teach, mentor and supervise people with disabilities
• Attends staff meetings, cross functional committees, workshops and trainings
• Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
