Job summary

Bradford Village Healthcare Center in Edmond, OK is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Supervisor in keeping the facility safe and functional. You will perform routine upkeep, address electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues, and help create a comfortable environment for residents and staff.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, reliability, and teamwork in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC.
• Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long Term Care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine maintenance around the building.
• Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs.
• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
• Clean various surfaces and areas, including tabletops, floors, furniture, and windows
• Refinish floors as needed.
• Fix minor issues related to electricity, plumbing and other systems.
• Keep equipment in working order and report any repair needs beyond your scope to Supervisor.
