Job summary

Douglasville Center for Nursing and Healing is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our facility safe, clean, and functional for residents and staff.

You will handle routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and general upkeep, while learning best practices from a caring team in a supportive environment. This role emphasizes safety, service, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous LTC experience is preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry is needed.
• Strong willingness to learn and contribute to the team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and orderliness of buildings and grounds.
• Maintain and repair basic functions of the center.
• Safely manage tools and equipment, including HVAC filters and minor repairs.
• Deliver compassionate service to residents, families and staff.

Requirements for Maintenance Assistant:

• - Previous experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) is preferred, but not required
