Maintenance Assistant Duties:

• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization in common areas, maintenance rooms, and storage areas.
• Ensure work areas are free of hazards and immediately report unsafe conditions.
• Follow safety protocols, including SDS procedures.
• Clean up after work and ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Coordinate repairs with emergency vendors and prioritize repairs based on urgency.
• Complete repairs promptly, including priority jobs.
• Properly store paints and chemicals, and clean all equipment after use.
• Work within local and state codes, and use power tools and testing equipment safely.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules and record actions accordingly.
• Remain on-call 24/7 for emergency responses, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of maintenance experience.
• Positive, cheerful disposition.
