Job summary

Clarendale Clayton is seeking a hospitality-focused Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Clayton, Missouri. The role focuses on keeping public areas clean and welcoming while supporting maintenance and resident services to ensure a superior living experience.

The position offers a full-time schedule from 2:30pm–11:00pm, some weekends required, with a starting wage of $20.00/hour and a comprehensive benefits package including retirement, health, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, and daily

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months to one year of experience in housekeeping, janitorial, facilities, maintenance, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, fitness areas, meeting rooms, offices, laundry rooms, storage rooms and outdoor spaces.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, clean glass and mirrors, remove trash and recycling, ensure areas meet cleanliness standards.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock public restrooms and common areas.
• Assist with apartment turnovers, guest suite cleaning, and scheduled deep cleaning projects.
• Support housekeeping and operations with room setups, furniture moves, and events.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks: replace bulbs, unclog toilets, change air filters, minor painting, report issues.
• Assist with community safety and provide security support as needed.
• Respond promptly to resident, guest, and team requests.
• Maintain a positive hospitality-focused approach for a clean, safe environment.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of the Maintenance Assistant:

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, fitness areas, meeting rooms, offices, laundry rooms, storage rooms, and outdoor spaces.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, clean glass and mirrors, remove trash and recycling, and ensure all areas meet community cleanliness standards.
