Maintenance Assistant Responsibilities include:

• Performs general maintenance on a daily basis responding to resident requests through the established work order program repairing plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues.
• Performs general maintenance on a daily basis for the building to include HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and kitchen equipment issues.
• Maintains organization of all storage and equipment areas.
• Ensures that the resident work orders are completed within 24 hours.
• Assists in the preventative maintenance program.
• Will rotate emergency on-call with maintenance director.

Qualifications:

• Experience in janitorial/maintenance work preferred: familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security, heating and cooling systems required. Experience in building safety and hazard reduction helpful.
