Job summary

The Lumiere of Chesterfield Senior Living Community is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join Tutera Senior Living & Health Care's team in Chesterfield, MO. You will perform essential maintenance tasks to keep the facility safe, sanitary, and well maintained for residents.

The role emphasizes adherence to environmental codes, teamwork, and a proactive attitude toward repairs, safety, and resident comfort. Prior LTC maintenance experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior maintenance experience in LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting highly preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks to ensure environmental compliance with codes and regulations.
• Maintain facility to be sanitary, attractive, and in good repair; fix electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems as needed.
• Assist in daily maintenance operations and support safety for residents and staff.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will perform the activities of the maintenance department to ensure environmental compliance in accordance with Federal, State and Local ordinance, regulations and building codes. You will assist in the maintenance of the facility to ensure a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition; in good repair, free from hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• A fire and passion for working with seniors
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred
• Prior experience in maintenance in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting highly preferred
• Prior maintenance experience required
• Must possess knowledge of commercial laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
