Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Maintenance Assistant in Brentwood, TN to perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks across the community. Responsibilities include operating tools, ordering materials, making repairs, moving furniture, and maintaining equipment and grounds.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, two years of maintenance experience, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexibility for weekends/holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Two years prior maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of building maintenance practices and materials.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tools and machines used in maintenance/building trades.
• Order materials as directed and manage incoming work orders.
• Make repairs to building, equipment, and appliances as directed.
• Disassemble and move furniture within the community.
• Check maintenance logs and respond to requests promptly.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as directed.
• Prepare and paint surfaces in the community.
• Maintain exterior grounds and assist with landscaping and trash removal.
• Perform basic electrical work (e.g., changing light bulbs).
• Transport residents safely in community vehicle to appointments.
• Assist with vehicle maintenance scheduling and safety drills.
• All other duties as assigned by Maintenance Director.
