Job summary

The Waters of Maryville is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to join our TEAM. Flexible hours and new wages are available. The Maintenance Assistant supports the Maintenance Director in planning and directing the maintenance operation to keep the facility safe, well‑maintained, and compliant with regulations.

Responsibilities include inspections, coordinating with external vendors, establishing preventive maintenance, and performing building repairs within skill scope.

The Maintenance Assistant assists the Maintenance Director in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the maintenance department in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations and established company policies and procedures. Ensure the facility is well-maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.

A. Role Responsibilities – Job Knowledge/Duties:

• Inspect storage rooms, work rooms, utility/janitorial closets, etc for upkeep and supply control
• Participates in facility surveys made by authorized governmental agencies
• Ensures that outside services are properly completed/supervised in accordance with contracts/work orders
• Assists in establishing a preventative maintenance program
• Completes carpentry and other building repairs within the scope of expertise

Maintenance EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Must be knowledgeable of maintenance practices and procedures, as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing maintenance functions in the facility
