**Job Overview: **
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the maintenance department by performing various tasks to ensure the proper functioning, appearance, and safety of our facilities. This role requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to delivering outstanding service in maintaining our equipment and facilities.

**Key Responsibilities: **
- Assist in the routine maintenance and repair of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of premises and equipment to identify issues and ensure proper upkeep.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as instructed, including painting, drywall repair, and other general carpentry work.
- Help maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and notify the supervisor of stock levels.
- Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Support the maintenance team with special projects or seasonal maintenance tasks as required.
- Assist with grounds maintenance, including landscaping, snow removal, and waste disposal.
- Document maintenance activities and report any significant issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in maintenance, construction, or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, carry equipment, and perform manual labor.
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on job duties.
