Job summary

The Wyndmoor of Portage is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to ensure the upkeep of our facility in Portage, Indiana. You will perform routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and replacements of equipment, fixtures, and appliances to keep residents safe and comfortable.

Ideal candidates will have experience in maintenance, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and demonstrate strong attention to detail and teamwork. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks

• Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks and repairs.

About the Role:

As a Maintenance Assistance, you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facility. Your responsibilities will include performing maintenance tasks, repairs, and replacements of equipment, fixtures, and appliances to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing of common areas and resident rooms

  • Changing light bulbs and fixtures

  • Performing minor repairs and adjustments

  • Restocking supplies and linen

• Collaborate with other departments to resolve maintenance-related issues

• Develop and maintain a cleaning schedule and priority list

• Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks and repairs
