Job summary

The Wyndmoor of Portage is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to ensure the upkeep of our facility in Portage, Indiana. You will perform routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and replacements of equipment, fixtures, and appliances to keep residents safe and comfortable.

Ideal candidates will have experience in maintenance, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and demonstrate strong attention to detail and teamwork. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance within a care or residential setting is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms, changing light bulbs and fixtures, and performing minor repairs.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve maintenance-related issues.
• Develop and maintain a cleaning schedule and priority list.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks and repairs.
