Job summary

Flex-N-Gate LLC. in Ionia, MI is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice to learn from qualified journeymen. You will assist with installing equipment, maintaining mechanical systems and repairing machines across the plant.

You will log learning hours, complete MCC training with a C or better, and work alongside a mentor to master safety procedures around presses, welders and industrial equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to perform the physical functions of the role.
• Must take MCC enrollment test and enroll in classes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installing equipment and maintaining mechanical systems.
• Repair machines and support maintenance journeyman.
• Keep a written log of skills learned, validated by a mentor.
• Work with presses, welders, robots and other machinery in the plant.
