Job summary

Flex-N-Gate in Royal Oak seeks a Maintenance & Machine Repair professional to perform skilled maintenance, installation and fabrication tasks across facility equipment. Qualified candidates will read blueprints, repair machinery and assist in new installations, while adhering to safety standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a journeyman card or 8+ years experience, welding skills, and valid licenses for crane and hi-lo operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; journeyman card or equivalent experience preferred.
• Must have a valid journeyman’s card or 8+ years in skilled maintenance.
• Continued education on equipment/processes may be required.

Responsibilities

• Repair all facility equipment, buildings, and grounds.
• Read blueprints and technical manuals; follow work instructions.
• Repair plant and office machinery and assist with new machinery installations.
• Direct purchasing of parts and services for repairs.
• Operate crane and hi-lo with valid licenses; perform welding as needed.
• Adhere to lockout/tagout and confined space procedures; travel locally if needed.
