Job summary

Qualifications

  • Must read and understand blueprints and layout projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, heavy industrial environment.
  • Communicate technically, both orally and in writing, and use a computer.
  • Able to operate and troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical equipment.
  • Safety oriented with leadership to perform maintenance in a team.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
  • Minimum 2 years in a heavy industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and upholds the Safety Culture.
  • Modify, repair and install machinery and mechanical equipment per policies.
  • Perform inspections, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Repair hydraulic and electrical equipment as assigned.
  • Perform building maintenance as required.
  • Train to perform industrial mechanical repairs and learn hydraulics/pneumatics.
  • Work as part of the maintenance team.

What You'll Do
  • Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
  • Modify, repair and install all types of machinery and mechanical equipment while observing all applicable CMC Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Perform equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, equipment repairs and troubleshooting equipment problems in an accurate and efficient manner
  • Perform repairs on Hydraulic and electrical equipment as assigned
  • Performing building maintenance as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Train to perform industrial mechanical repairs and gain knowledge about hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Work as a part of the maintenance team
What You'll Need
  • Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions to include working in the heat and cold weather
  • Perform repairs on Hydraulic and electrical equipment as assigned
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, layout projects, locate prints and use maintenance technical manuals
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, pay attention to detail and find root causes for issues
  • Minimum 2 years preferably in a heavy industrial environment
  • Must be able to communicate technically, orally and written
  • Must be able to use a computer
  • Possess proficient skills utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools for performing all facets of the repair and maintenance process
  • Safety oriented person with leadership skills to perform maintenance duties in a team environment and ability to work alone with little or no supervision
  • Work on rotating shifts with some overtime required
  • Able to work overtime as business requires
Your Education
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
