This position offers a pay range of $22.00/hr, with the actual salary based on skills and experience. The job is located at River City Correctional Center, Cincinnati, OH, and involves working 80 hours bi-weekly.

Requirements (Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification)
  • High School Diploma or GED, or six months' experience in building maintenance and supervision; ability to perform physical labor.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance, maintained throughout employment.
  • CPR and First Aid Certifications to be obtained within 6 months of hire and maintained thereafter.
Job Duties (Summary)
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, painting, HVAC, boiler, and kitchen equipment.
  • Operate vehicles for transportation of parts, supplies, and refuse.
  • Maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
  • Perform minor repairs, custodial duties, groundskeeping, and snow removal.
  • Maintain confidentiality and assist in supervising residents on maintenance tasks.
  • Oversee fire protection systems and liaise with vendors for cost-effective procurement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of safety practices, building maintenance, HVAC repair.
  • Skills in using power tools and equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose malfunctions, document accurately, and communicate effectively.
  • Physical ability to perform moderate to heavy labor and lift up to 50 pounds.

Correctional facility and outdoor environment, requiring physical exertion and safety awareness.
