Job summary

Christensen Farms is seeking a Maintenance and Reliability Technician to perform priority repairs and preventive maintenance, complete projects on time and to quality standards, and collaborate with production and repair staff to maximize quality and productivity.

This position requires operating shop equipment and a company vehicle with an MVR review. The role includes a comprehensive benefits package and a base pay range of $22–$29 per hour.

• The worker is required to have the visual ability to perform mechanical or skilled tasks such as operating machines (lathes, drill presses, power saws, mills) within reach.

Responsibilities

• Perform priority repairs as assigned to maintain production efficiency.
• Repair equipment specific to Christensen Farms and its producers.
• Conduct scheduled and non-priority repairs to quality and cost standards.
• Provide labor for or lead other projects as needed.
• Execute maintenance procedures on assigned farms as part of the asset maintenance program.
• Prepare equipment for use and store idle equipment properly.

The Maintenance and Reliability Technician will perform priority repairs and maintenance in a timely and efficient manner, complete scheduled projects to timeline and quality standards, and effectively work with production and other repair staff to maximize quality of work and productivity of department.

  • Perform general carpentry, plumbing, and steel repair

• Asset Maintenance Program
  • Execute maintenance procedures on assigned farms.
• Seasonal Equipment Preparation
  • Prepare equipment for use
  • Maintain and properly store equipment not in use.

Additional Requirements

• The worker is required to have the visual ability to perform an activity such as: operates machines, such as lathes, drill presses, power saws, and mills where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach; performs mechanical or skilled tasks of a non-repetitive nature, such as carpenter, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc.
• This position will require operating a company vehicle or regular mileage reimbursement. Any employment offer extended for this position will be is contingent upon the review of the candidate's motor vehicle record (MVR). The MVR will be reviewed to determine insurability based on CF's insurance carrier and company policy.
