Job description

Coordinate maintenance activities and improvement projects within the Metal Finishing facility to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment, systems, and processes. Works closely with production, maintenance personnel, and leadership to prioritize maintenance needs, coordinate repair activities, and manage facility and equipment improvement projects that support safety, quality, productivity, and environmental objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinates preventative and corrective maintenance activities for production equipment, facility infrastructure, and supporting systems within the metal finishing operation.
  • Works with production leadership to identify maintenance priorities and schedules work to minimize production disruption.
  • Assists in troubleshooting equipment issues and coordinating appropriate maintenance resources.
  • Inspects and tests machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Installs, assembles, and repairs equipment, tooling, or components in the Metal Finishing Area.
  • Maintains maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history to support reliability and preventative maintenance initiatives.
  • Coordinates facility and equipment improvement projects including planning, scheduling, tracking progress, and communicating status to leadership.
  • Works with internal personnel to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget expectations.
  • Participates in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation related to equipment failures, safety incidents, or quality issues.
  • Supports environmental, health, and safety compliance by ensuring maintenance and project activities follow company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates with production, quality, engineering, and environmental personnel to support operational improvements and process reliability.
  • Assists in planning equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and capital projects within the metal finishing department.
  • Assists with inventory management of maintenance supplies and critical spare parts.
  • Monitors equipment performance and maintenance trends to identify opportunities for reliability improvement and cost reduction.
  • Ensures maintenance and project activities are conducted in a safe manner and that appropriate lockout/tagout and safety procedures are followed.
  • Knowledge of maintenance principles including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment reliability, and production support systems.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities including maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and project timelines.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Communicates in English and demonstrates ability to communicate orally in a clear and positive manner.
  • Demonstrates ability to actively listen to others and work collaboratively across departments.
Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses
  • Associate degree in industrial maintenance, manufacturing technology, engineering technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Three to five years of experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing operations, or project coordination preferred.
