Job summary

Falls Lake Academy is seeking a dependable Maintenance and Grounds Technician to help keep a safe, clean, and attractive campus for students, staff, and visitors in Creedmoor, NC. The role covers general building maintenance and groundskeeping, with involvement in minor repairs and event setup.

Hours are 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. Candidates must pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment.

Qualifications

Falls Lake Academy – Maintenance and Grounds Technician

Falls Lake Academy, a K–12 public charter school in Creedmoor, NC, is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance and Grounds Technician to help maintain a safe, clean, and attractive campus for students, staff, and visitors.

This position is responsible for performing general building maintenance, groundskeeping, and minor repairs across the campus. Duties include mowing, landscaping, event setup, preventative maintenance, basic plumbing/electrical repairs, and assisting with facility projects. Approximately 20% of the workday will include custodial responsibilities, such as cleaning common areas, assisting with trash removal, and supporting overall campus cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Experience in facility maintenance, groundskeeping, custodial work, or a related field preferred.
• Skills in general maintenance such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, assembly, repair, landscape, and ability to work on ladders at various heights.
• Ability to operate lawn and maintenance equipment safely.
• Basic knowledge of building systems and repair techniques.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to supporting a school environment.
