An established industry player is seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Engineer to lead and support the County’s Community Housing Corporation. This role involves overseeing maintenance programs, managing capital projects, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The Maintenance & Facilities Engineer provides support and technical leadership to the County’s Community Housing Corporation and non-profit housing providers. Under the guidance of the Maintenance & Facilities Engineering Supervisor, they oversee capital plans, projects, and maintenance programs, including daily, preventative, corrective, and capital upgrades. Responsibilities include advising on legislation and standards, building systems, safety, security, equipment, and capital improvements. The engineer also supervises and supports Junior Engineers and engineering co-op students.
Demonstrate leadership qualities such as customer focus, process improvement, and impactful communication.
Minimum of 4 years in technical roles, including at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
Requires visual and mental effort for design, problem-solving, and reporting.
Exposure to dust, fumes, heat, and confined spaces; some evening and weekend work required.
