Job summary

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is offering a college internship with the Technical Training & Development team. You will support the Maintenance Training group by creating dashboards, cleaning datasets, and developing reusable reporting templates to track compliance and measure performance.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience with Excel, SQL, and Power BI/Tableau to produce visuals that inform executive decisions in a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

Enrolled in a college or university pursuing a degree related to analytics or data management.
Must have completed freshman year and be entering sophomore year; minimum GPA 2.8.
Ability to work up to thirteen weeks during the summer.
Proficiency with Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools is expected.

Responsibilities

Assist in compiling, reviewing and analyzing data for reports.
Develop dashboards and reusable reporting templates to track compliance and performance.
Clean and organize datasets to support accurate analytics.
Create visualizations and presentations for executive decision-making.
Participate in training sessions and department meetings to gain exposure to transit functions.
