Job summary

Nexus Employment Solutions Plus Inc. in Manteno, IL seeks an experienced Industrial Electrical Technician for a food manufacturing facility. Shifts: 1st and 2nd; pay range $32.00-$38.00 per hour. Apply in person Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:00pm at 291 Southcreek Drive, Manteno, IL 60950.

Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and motor controls to ensure uninterrupted production of high-quality foods. Safety emphasis throughout.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrical Technician.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
• Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Familiarity with VFDs, HMIs, and automation components.
• Knowledge of AC/DC motors, control circuits, and power distribution.
• Proficient in electrical testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, insulation testers).
• Ability to train production and maintenance staff on electrical systems.
• Strong safety practices and regulatory awareness.

• Program and maintain PLCs to control automated machinery and processes.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs.
• Provide safety training to staff on operation and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
