Job summary

Vertiv Co. seeks a maintenance technician to support preventative, predictive, and repair activities on production and facility equipment. The role requires reading electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and using test tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes, with welding as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 1–5 years’ experience preferred.
• Siemens CNC/PLC automation background preferred.
• Must read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Welding equipment (acetylene, TIG/STICK) proficiency as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive, and repair maintenance on production and facility equipment; service buildings and grounds.
• Assist in installation or relocation of equipment.

Job description

1. Job Responsibilities:
2. Required to perform Preventative, Predictive, and Repair maintenance on, but not limited to, production equipment, facility equipment, buildings, and grounds. These task to be performed using appropriate documents and/or tools.
3. Required to aid in the installation or the re-location of equipment.
4. Required to work any shift, weekends, shutdowns, and overtime when needed.
5. May be required to do other reasonable manufacturing duties as assigned.

8. Must pass Maintenance A test with a 70% or better score.
9. Required to maintain regular attendance and can work in team environment.
10. Self-motivated.
11. Machines and Equipment Involved:
12. Required to use, and be proficient with, a Multi-Meter, Oscilloscope preferred, and other electrical measuring devices when needed.
13. Required and be proficient in reading and understanding electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, schematics and diagrams.
14. Depending on operation, will use any or all, but not limited to, the following as applicable: welding tools including mig, arc, gas braze and diagnostic equipment.
15. Educational Requirements:

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.

2. 1 to 5 years’ experience preferred.
3. Siemens CNC and/or PLC automation background preferred.
4. Required to use, and be proficient with, welding equipment acetylene torch, stick, and mig-wire welder when needed.
5. Required and be proficient in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems with a proven mechanical ability.
6. Required to be proficient in using a computer for accessing and entering work orders.
7. Rigging and lifting knowledge a plus.
