Job summary

Sleep Inn & Suites Oregon seeks a maintenance technician responsible for preventive maintenance of guest rooms and building systems, including HVAC, PTAC, pool equipment, laundry, and safety systems. The role requires interpreting instructions, operating basic maintenance tools, and staying on call for emergencies.

You will also support other departments, perform outdoor lawn and snow tasks when needed, keep accurate maintenance records, and adhere to key-control policies.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of maintenance and related work experience.
• Ability to operate basic maintenance tools.
• Good communication skills and reading ability.
• Must be able to read and follow instructions.
• On-call availability for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance of all guest rooms, equipment, and supplies including HVAC/PTAC, vacuums, ice machines, TVs, washers/dryers, water heaters, sprinkler systems, swimming pool, case goods and cabinets.
• Maintain the swimming pool and whirlpool according to local health department and franchise standards.
• Perform repairs unless a general contractor is needed and approved by management.
• Provide assistance to all other departments as needed.
• Be on call at all times in case of emergency.
• Operate basic maintenance tools.
• Read and follow instructions.
• Run errands for the hotel.
• Adhere to strict key control policies.
• Keep accurate records of all preventive maintenance.
• Perform outdoor lawn and snow services as needed.

Job description

REPORTS TO: General Manager.

EXPERIENCE: General knowledge of maintenance and related work experience.

DRESS CODE: Maintenance uniform including name tag.

PHYSICAL: Requires the ability to lift 80 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to drive a vehicle and have good communication skills. Must be able to help out in an emergency situation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Preventive Maintenance of all guest rooms, equipment, and supplies. This includes, but is not limited to:
   
   
   
   1. HVAC and PTAC
   
   
   2. Vacuums
   
   
   3. Ice Machines
   
   
   4. TV's
   
   
   5. Washers and dryers
   
   
   6. Water heaters
   
   
   7. Sprinkler Systems
   
   
   8. Swimming Pool
   
   
   9. Case goods and cabinets
