Responsibilities

• Perform checkups on machines as part of daily maintenance.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
• Follow and update preventative maintenance schedules.
• Assist production personnel with daily tasks.
• Maintain safety in and around the building and grounds.
• Keep safety stock for inspection items and parts.
• Maintain boilers, compressors, steam generators, ESPs per schedules.
• Check water meters and ensure safe repairs using approved contractors.

Job Details: Job Location: PLANT 3 - Gastonia, NC 28052, Our maintenance position is a key role in daily operations. The person will maintain facilities and equipment by performing multiple tasks, will report directly to the maintenance manager.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATOR:

• Perform checkups on machines


• Perform all maintenance and reparations as needed.


• Keep up with preventative maintenance schedules.


• Assist all production personnel with general daily tasks.


• Ensure safety in and around the building and grounds.


• Maintain safety stock for inspection items, slitting blades, sewing machine parts, etc.


• Maintain boilers, compressor, steam generator, ESP’s according to maintenance and blow down schedules.


• Check water meters.


• Ensure quick and safe repair on defective items in factory, use local contractors to supplement when approved by leadership.


• Maintain and check calibration books for scales and yardage counters.

Qualifications

• Minimum education requirements


• Able to read and write in English


• Previous experience with Maintenance in an industrial environment


• Have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding or other moving violations


• Must provide your own basic tools


• Physical abilities to stand, walk and kneel on concrete floors, climb ladders, lift up to 75 lbs. safely without assistance, reach above head and have flexibility to twist and turn in tight places


• Must use PPE per company policy while performing certain task


• Must comply with all safety, quality and production requirements and instructions
