Job summary

Hawaiian Building Maintenance in Honolulu, HI is seeking a meticulous maintenance associate to keep our facilities in top condition across common areas and 20 floors. Responsibilities include pool care, drywall repairs, cleaning, and basic electrical/plumbing tasks.

Schedule is part-time with varied hours (5 days, 40 hours per week). Hourly pay is $22.50. A high school diploma is preferred, English communication is required, and training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must successfully pass prescreen check.
• Ability to perform tasks in various weather conditions.
• Proven maintenance experience or related fields.
• Certified Pool Operator certification preferred but not required.
• Strong English communication skills required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Physically capable of lifting 50–75 pounds and performing related tasks.
• Competence in safely operating cleaning equipment.
• Willingness to learn and participate in training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair common areas including lobby, restrooms, offices, and closets.
• Clean and maintain three to six feet deep swimming pool; take temperature readings.
• Perform drywall repairs and painting to keep premises pristine.
• Handle basic electrical and plumbing tasks.
• Use CPO skills to maintain pool quality and safety (training available).
• Coordinate tasks via two-way radio.
• Log work data and maintain records.
• Maintain maintenance across 20 floors ensuring safety and guest comfort.

Are you a skilled Maintenance individual looking for an exciting opportunity in a dynamic commercial environment? We are seeking a dedicated candidate to join our team and ensure our facilities remain in top-notch condition.

-Employment Job type:Part-time

-Location: Oahu (Honolulu, HI)

-Schedule: Varies (5 days, 40 hours a week)

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 6:00AM to 2:30PM, Friday and Saturday: 6:00AM to 2:30PM or 6:30AM to 3:00PM

-Hourly Pay Rate: $22.50

Key Responsibilities:

• -Perform maintenance and repairs in common areas including the lobby, restrooms, offices, and closet spaces.
• -Maintain and clean three to six feet deep swimming pool using a pool net and vacuum, and perform temperature readings for both cool and heated pools.
• -Perform drywall repairs and painting to keep the premises looking pristine.
• -Handle basic electrical and plumbing tasks efficiently.
• -Utilize your Certified Pool Operator (CPO) skills to maintain pool quality and safety. CPO is not required but willing to learn and train.
• -Communicate effectively using a 2-way radio to coordinate tasks.
• -Accurately log work data and maintain records.
• -Take responsibility for maintenance across 20 floors, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for guests and residents.

Skill and Qualifications:

• -Physically capable of carrying, lifting, pushing, or pulling 50 to 75 pounds, as well as standing for long stretches and performing tasks like stretching, kneeling, bending, crawling, climbing, and pressing.
• -Competence in safely and effectively operating cleaning equipment.
• -Willingness to learn and participate in training for the position.
• -Capability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• -Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards.
