  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter changes, fixture repairs, painting, and minor carpentry.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize disruption.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs.
  • Ensure maintenance work adheres to safety regulations for childcare environments.
  • Assist in setting up safety equipment and signage throughout the facility.

Job description

The Maintenance for our Childcare Centers plays a critical role in ensuring that the facilities are safe, clean, and fully operational to provide a nurturing environment for children and staff. This position involves performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs of building systems, equipment, and playground structures. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards and addressing them promptly to comply with health and safety regulations. The Maintenance man collaborates closely with childcare center management to prioritize maintenance tasks and support the smooth daily operation of the facility. Ultimately, this role contributes to creating a secure and welcoming space that supports the well‑being and development of children in the center.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably in a childcare, educational, or similar facility setting.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and safety regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in facility maintenance or a related trade.
  • Experience working in environments with children or knowledge of childcare facility regulations.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards and local childcare licensing requirements.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
