Job summary

MSI is seeking a Maintenance Associate in Edison, New Jersey to handle building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general upkeep. The role requires 3-5 years of maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a team or with minimal supervision. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Work hours are standard with some Saturday coverage; MSI offers a comprehensive benefits package including health/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• High School or GED education required.
• 3-5 years of Maintenance experience.
• Electrical and plumbing experience is a plus.
• Technical certificate is a plus.
• Forklift and warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major building maintenance repairs.
• Repair plumbing systems and perform carpentry tasks.
• Paint, remodel, and repair flooring; install/demolish in facility.
• Complete equipment checklists and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain general cleanliness and assist where needed.

Job description

Summary: The Maintenance associate is responsible for all building maintenance related duties. This includes light troubleshooting and major repair work as needed. In addition, the Maintenance associate will be responsible for maintaining the electrical, plumbing and cleanup of the different departments within the building.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for minor and major building maintenance repairs.
• Perform plumbing repairs.
• Perform carpentry and plastering.
• Paint, remodel, and repair the flooring.
• Complete installations and demolitions through the facility.
• Responsible for general clean up.
• Conduct the equipment checklist and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Perform additional duties as required and or requested.

Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:

• High School or GED education required.
• 3-5 years of Maintenance experience.
• Effective communication skills
• Troubleshooting abilities
• Must have previous maintenance experience.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and/or with little supervision.
• Electrical and plumbing experience as well as a technical certificate is a plus.
• Forklift and warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge of using computer or tablet a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish (Preferred).
• Ability to travel as required.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM, 2 Saturday(s) a month from 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM
