Job summary

Days Inn CDA in Coeur d'Alene is seeking a Maintenance Associate to keep exterior areas clean and well maintained while assisting with interior guest rooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas.

The role includes preventative maintenance, basic hand/power tool use, debris removal, grounds upkeep, snow/ice removal, and satisfying guests with a high standard of service. Weekend/evening availability is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of maintenance trades including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and painting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs using basic hand and power tools.
• Debris removal from grounds and sweeping of curbs, entrances and sidewalks.
• Operate parking lot sweeper and pressure wash sidewalks/stairs as needed.
• Snow and ice removal from sidewalks and entrances.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work area; follow all policy procedures.

Job description

Position Summary:

Responsible for ensuring all areas of the hotel exterior are kept clean and well maintained at all times plus assist with internal maintenance of guest rooms, public spaces and back of the house areas.

Essential Functions:

• Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs, which may include touch-ups; replacing light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, wall coverings, caulking, grouting, or miscellaneous repairs.


• Perform duties requiring experience in using basic hand and power tools.


• Use other equipment as instructed by your manager.


• Debris removal from grounds.


• Sweep curbing, entrances, sidewalks.


• Operate parking lot sweeper.


• Snow and ice removal from sidewalks and entrances.


• Pressure wash designated sidewalks and stairs.


• Adhere to all work order policies and procedures.


• Maintain a high standard of excellence throughout the hotel.


• Ensure that all guests are greeted.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of all maintenance trades, basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and painting preferred.


• Working knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment.


• Ability to:


• Work with minimal supervision.


• Communicate effectively.

• Receive and follow both verbal and written instructions.

• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.

Requirements

Must be available on weekends, holidays, and Evenings.

Shift open to discussion (40 hrs a week, Wednesday through Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday Off)
