Job summary

Growers Transplanting, Inc. in Salinas, CA is seeking a Maintenance Clerk to join the Maintenance team.

Under the supervision of the Senior Maintenance Administrator, you will track maintenance work orders, update records, and ensure documents are accurate and organized with strong communication and coordination. The role requires a High school diploma or GED, 3+ years of related experience, bilingual English/Spanish, a valid California driver’s license, and occasional travel of about 5%.

Responsibilities

• Creates, follows up, completes and files maintenance work orders.
• Reconciles invoices related to the maintenance department.
• Supports creation of maintenance-related purchase orders.
• Processes past due work orders for all equipment.
• Coordinates repairs and preventative maintenance for fleet availability.
• Maintains an effective checking-in-out tool system.
• Conducts periodic inventories of equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Ensures compliance of rolling stock registrations, inspections, and related regulatory items.
• Manages maintenance records with Senior Maintenance Administrator.
• Delivers excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Maintains an organized work area and adheres to safety guidelines.
• Willing to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
• Performs other duties as required.

Position Summary

Join the AG industry's leading seedling supplier and transplanting company as part of our Maintenance Team! As a Maintenance Clerk, you will play a pivotal role under the general supervision of the Senior Maintenance Administrator. Bring your excellent organizational and communication skills to the forefront as you take charge of tracking maintenance work orders and ensuring the seamless update of records and documents.

With occasional travel constituting approximately 5% of the role, this is your chance to contribute to the success of a thriving agricultural operation.

Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

• Supports with the creation, follow-up, completion and filing of work orders.
• Reconcile invoices related to the maintenance department.
• Supports Senior Maintenance Admin and Shop Manager in creating POs related to the maintenance department.
• Process any past due pending work orders for all equipment into the system.
• Supports coordination of repairs and preventative maintenance scheduling that supports fleet vehicle availability and requirements.
• Administers an effective checking-in-out tool system.
• Conducts periodic inventories of equipment, tools, and other supplies.
• Supports Senior Maintenance Administrator with compliance of rolling stock (trucks, tractors, vehicles, etc.), including renewal of registrations, scheduling smog’s, submittal of documents to governmental agencies, depreciation schedules, and other regulatory items related to the company’s fleet of vehicles.
• Manage maintenance records alongside Senior Maintenance Administrator.
• Provide excellent customer service oriented to internal and external customers.
• Maintains an organized work area.
• Follow/Adhere to company safety guidelines.
• Able to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Compensation: $20.00-$22.00/hour

Requirements

Physical Requirements
