UMass Amherst is seeking a Maintainer I for the 3rd shift to perform general custodial duties in the Facilities Services Department. You will work as part of a team cleaning, moving furniture, and handling waste and recycling in assigned buildings, supporting a clean and safe campus environment.
The role requires knowledge of institutional cleaning methods, ability to follow instructions in English, and use of basic cleaning equipment.

Performs general custodial duties in connection with the cleaning and maintenance of a building or of an assigned area within a building in the Auxiliary Services Department. Works as a member of a team cleaning custodial program (CAPP Hillyard Rovic) which includes housekeeping, cleaning, moving furniture, and trash removal in assigned Auxiliary Services buildings.
Performs related duties as assigned.

This position is designated as essential personnel. This includes the obligation to work overtime, to return to work between scheduled shifts when directed, and to report to work during any delays, early departures, and closures.
Work is performed in custodial or dining service environments, and entails prolonged standing, carrying loads, and use of cleaning chemicals or food service equipment.
Sunday - Thursday; 9:00pm-5:00am (3rd shift)
Pay Grade: AFSCME Grade 09
