Job summary

Broadmead, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain the facility and grounds.

Under supervision, you will conduct preventive maintenance, seasonal repairs and repairs to building systems, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC, and assist with ongoing duties as assigned. You will perform routine maintenance and minor repairs, assist with snow removal, keep parking areas clean, and ensure tools and supplies are well maintained.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of maintenance experience required or preferred.
• Experience with painting, plumbing and light electrical is preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and perform simple arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance duties such as fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures.
• Performs painting and refurbishing projects as directed.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance as directed by supervisor.
• Performs minor building and equipment repairs.
• Assists with snow removal efforts.
• Performs clean-up of parking lots and building grounds.
• Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition.

STATUS: Non-Exempt, hourly, full-time, 30 hours or more per week

REPORTS TO: Director of Plant Operations and/or Lead Maintenance Tech

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the physical facility and grounds. Under supervisor direction, conducts preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs and changes, building equipment, plumbing, electrical and HVAC repairs, and all other duties as assigned.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

Primary Job Duties:

• Performs general maintenance duties, such as fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures, light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs.
• Performs painting and refurbishing projects as directed by Director Plant Operations or Lead Maintenance Technician
• Performs routine preventive maintenance as directed by Director of Plant Operations or Lead Maintenance Technician.
• Performs minor building and equipment repairs.
• Assists with snow removal efforts.
• Performs clean-up of parking lots and building grounds.
• Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition

Qualifications

Experience

Required

1-2 years:

• 1. Technical Schooling and/or background preferred.
• 2. Experience with painting, plumbing and light electrical, preferred
• 3. 1- 2 years of maintenance experience.
• 4. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
• 4. Wears appropriate non-slip footwear, steel toe required.
