Job summary

Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to operate and maintain equipment and fixtures within the medical center, ensuring safety and comfort for patients, staff and visitors. The role follows hospital guidelines and includes a fixed schedule with occasional third-week coverage.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of relevant experience or a trade school background in refrigeration, electricity, or building maintenance, and may pursue a Minnesota maintenance

Qualifications

• 5 years in operation and maintenance in commercial, industrial or institutional environments or
• Graduate of an accredited trade school in refrigeration, electricity, building maintenance or other appropriate course

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment and fixtures within the medical center following hospital guidelines
• Ensure a safe, comfortable environment for patients, staff and visitors
• Follow shift schedule and department procedures, including periodic weekend coverage as described in the posting

Job Overview

Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN is hiring a Maintenance Engineer. In this role one operates and maintains the equipment and fixtures within the medical center using acceptable work practices and following hospital and departmental guidelines to maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Schedule: Monday to Friday/ 0630 to 1500, full time 80 hours in two weeks

Every third week it will be M-W with Th and F off and working Saturday and Sunday.

Required Qualifications

• 5 years in operation and maintenance in commercial, industrial or institutional environment or
• Graduate of an accredited trade school in refrigeration, electricity, building maintenance or other appropriate course

Preferred Qualifications

• Possesses or will strive to obtain a valid Minnesota Maintenance Electrical license
• Electrician Minnesota Maintenance Electrical License
