Job summary

Tonkin Hyundai Gresham is seeking a skilled Mainline Technician to diagnose, repair, and service Hyundai vehicles. You will collaborate with service advisors and fellow technicians to deliver quality workmanship and efficient service in a modern shop.

The position requires strong diagnostic abilities, a commitment to customer satisfaction, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Training and development opportunities are available through Hyundai and Tonkin Automotive

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician experience required.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform repairs independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of automotive electrical, engine, suspension, brake, and drivetrain systems.
• Ability to use scan tools, diagnostic equipment, and service information systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Hyundai vehicles.
• Identify mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns using diagnostic equipment.
• Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
• Perform warranty repairs and maintenance services accurately and efficiently.
• Inspect vehicles and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.
• Document repair procedures and findings clearly on repair orders.
• Maintain productivity and efficiency goals while ensuring quality workmanship.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Participate in Hyundai factory training and certification programs.
• Work collaboratively with service advisors and team members to ensure a positive customer experience.

Mainline Technician Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician experience required
