Job summary

Tonkin Hyundai Gresham is seeking a skilled Mainline Technician to diagnose, repair, and service Hyundai vehicles. You will collaborate with service advisors and fellow technicians to deliver quality workmanship and efficient service in a modern shop.

The position requires strong diagnostic abilities, a commitment to customer satisfaction, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Training and development opportunities are available through Hyundai and Tonkin Automotive

Qualifications

Previous automotive technician experience required.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to perform repairs independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of automotive electrical, engine, suspension, brake, and drivetrain systems.
Ability to use scan tools, diagnostic equipment, and service information systems.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Hyundai vehicles.
Identify mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns using diagnostic equipment.
Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
Perform warranty repairs and maintenance services accurately and efficiently.
Inspect vehicles and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.
Document repair procedures and findings clearly on repair orders.
Maintain productivity and efficiency goals while ensuring quality workmanship.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
Participate in Hyundai factory training and certification programs.
Work collaboratively with service advisors and team members to ensure a positive customer experience.
