Tonkin Gladstone Hyundai is seeking an Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join their busy service department in Gladstone, OR. The role requires diagnosing vehicle concerns, performing quality repairs, and collaborating with a skilled team.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience as a Certified Line Technician or Mechanic (Hyundai or Kia experience preferred).
• ASE certifications or Hyundai factory certifications are a strong plus.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose automotive problems as they arise and perform repairs.
• Inspect engines, mechanical and electrical systems, and replace parts as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, brake inspections.
• Use diagnostic tools and factory software to identify and resolve system faults.
• Perform repairs according to Hyundai and manufacturer guidelines and test drive to confirm repair success.
• Mentor and support entry-level technicians and communicate with Service Advisors.
