Job summary

Cavender Subaru of Midland Odessa in Midland, Texas, is seeking a talented Mainline Service Technician to join our growing team. This role involves performing vehicle repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance to dealership standards, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Candidates should have previous service technician experience, a strong automotive background, and ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a service technician required.
• Strong automotive background.
• Manufacture ASE certifications preferred.
• Submit to MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance to dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components using specialized tools.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Provide time estimates to Service Advisor for additional repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Complete warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
• Keep the work area clean and follow safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.

Here Is What You Will Be Doing

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Any other duties as assigned by Management

Here Is What You Will Need

• Previous experience as a service technician required
• Strong automotive background
