After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.**Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a mainframe systems administrator. The ideal candidate would have experience with z/OS systems software installation, maintenance and administration with experience in the role of team leader or project coordinator. The position requires the following, but is not limited to:* Defining and programming software routines using established mainframe programming languages.* Installing and/or maintaining vendor supplied software packages using SMP/E.* Providing technical support to applications programming and other support areas in the use of systems software.* Debugging problems where systems software may be involved.* Changing operating system settings/options to support business needs and to optimize performance.* Assisting in developing and recommending standards and best practices in the use of systems software.**Desired Skills & Experience*** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
