Primerica is seeking a Mainframe Solution Architect to translate business requirements into technical solutions on IBM Mainframe platforms. You will collaborate with MF development teams to implement solutions and drive production deployment, while upholding architecture standards across MF applications and integrations.

The role includes leadership in modernizing workloads toward Kubernetes as part of the digital transformation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with IBM Mainframe and z/OS.
• Knowledge of zOSMF is a plus.
• Experience with Image Copy / reorg / load / unload utilities is desirable.
• Must have direct experience with RACF and how it protects DB2 resources, CICS transactions.
• Experience with SERVAUTH is a must.
• Experience with scalability and concurrent processing.
• Experience with COBOL, CICS and DB2 with SQL; explain plans.
• Expert in navigating IBM Mainframe, COBOL, Assembler and JCL.
• Knowledge of zOS connect is valuable.
• Python or Java is a plus.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and cloud solutions desirable.

Primerica is a great place to work!## ## About this PositionMainframe Solution Architect as a member of the Enterprise Architecture Team with principle focus on IBM Mainframe Applications and Solutions## ## Responsibilities & QualificationsThe Mainframe Solution Architect is responsible for translating business requirements into technical solutions for complex applications that are implemented on IBM Mainframe, but also including integrations with other platforms. They work directly with Application Architects and MF development teams to implement those solutions and assist in delivering them into production. They are responsible for communicating Architecture and Enterprise standards and best-practices and ensuring they are reflected in the MF applications and integrations. The Architect is proficient in the COBOL programing language, DB2 SQL and zOS. They have an understanding of basic Enterprise Design Patterns and how to apply them.
