Job summary

Fiserv is seeking a Mainframe Software Development Engineer in Alpharetta, GA. You will design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications that meet business goals and client needs, collaborating with architects and cross-functional partners to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

You will code, test, debug, mentor junior developers, conduct peer reviews, and ensure reliable performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with COBOL, DB2, BMS Maps, VSAM, JCL and IBM Utilities.
• 5+ years of experience with IBM Mainframes and the TSO/ISPF development environment.
• 5+ years of experience with Endevor or a similar source control application.
• 5+ years of experience in software design principles and software architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and implementation of mainframe software applications that support business goals and client needs.
• Collaborate with architects, team leads, business analysts and cross-functional partners to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications and validate design understanding.
• Develop, code, test and debug applications that meet design and architectural requirements, support system testing and ensure reliable performance.
• Enhance and maintain existing application software, assess the impact of changes across the application, lead peer reviews and provide ongoing support for internally developed applications.
• Communicate development status regularly, mentor junior developers and assist the production support team with defect analysis.

Salary Range

• $109,000.00 - $182,400.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
