Job summary

Fujitsu Germany GmbH is seeking a Software Developer (f/m/x) to advance core OS components of the BS2000 mainframe system. You will help drive the full software lifecycle from specification to testing and maintenance.

You will design IT architectures, collaborate with large teams and international partners, and contribute to technical documentation and customer support. Fluent German and solid English are required, with a degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or an IT-related field is required.
• Experience with programming languages such as Assembler, C/C++, and scripting languages.
• Experience with the software development lifecycle, including source code management and CI/CD.
• Strong analytical skills, flexibility, creativity, and a customer- and service-oriented mindset.
• Fluent German and good English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop key operating system components of BS2000 mainframe OS and support full software lifecycle.
• Contribute to designing IT architectures based on customer requirements.
• Work in large development teams with international partners.
• Create technical documentation and user manuals.
• Provide technical support to service and sales teams, including troubleshooting.
