Job summary

Syncreon Consulting seeks a Senior Mainframe Security Consultant focused on zSecure Audit and vulnerability management. You will drive hardening and security controls for z/OS, RACF/ACF2/TSS, and related tools, collaborating with engineering and information security teams to remediate findings.

The role requires strong communication and documentation abilities, with familiarity in Confluence and Visio for reporting and client-facing deliverables.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of hands-on zSecure Audit experience – REQUIRED.
• Strong z/OS Mainframe Security experience.
• Hands-on experience with RACF, ACF2, and Top Secret (TSS).
• Strong knowledge of REXX.
• Experience with IBM SyncSort and ICETOOL.
• Experience leveraging z/OS RACF STIG for hardening.
• Strong understanding of mainframe cybersecurity, security controls, and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience working with Mainframe Engineering and Information Security teams.
• Strong communication, documentation, and client-facing skills.
• Experience with Confluence and Visio preferred.
