Job summary

Sunseeker Property Service is seeking a specialist to support the NYS Department of Labor in a multi-vendor, multi-protocol network and systems environment in Albany. The role serves as the primary point of contact for z/OS operating systems and will work to maintain system reliability and performance.

The selected candidate will participate in disaster recovery tests, on-call rotations, audits, and security healthchecks, while coordinating with support staff and enterprise teams.

• Participate in On-call rotation
• Perform Security Healthchecking
• Participate in Audits.
• Participate and as required manage activities related to the installation, customization and management of the zOS operating system.
• Coordinate activities with support staff to ensure appropriate support is provided.
• Proactively monitor networks working with the Enterprise Network teams and developers to identify, manage and correct issues.
• Work independently to diagnose and correct problems as they arise within the system.
• Mentor state staff.
• Monitor CICS regions.
