Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Mainframe Network Engineer to join our Enterprise Technology Solutions team. You will work on a foundation of mainframe systems, compute resources, and storage, balancing legacy reliability with cloud-enabled modernization.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not offered. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in infrastructure engineering with deep z/OS, networking, and automation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related STEM field.
• 2 years of infrastructure engineering experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated infrastructure expertise across mainframe and related domains.
• Deep knowledge of z/OS components and networking for enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and implement infrastructure components across mainframe and related domains.
• Define and implement technical requirements for provisioning, configuration management, and operations.
• Optimize and monitor infrastructure for high availability and security.
• Collaborate with software, platform, and operations teams to align capabilities with needs.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and help drive modernization efforts.
