Job summary

Diné Development Corporation (DDC) seeks an Operations and Security Engineer to anchor security and operations for modernization projects under the DISA Reforged contract. This role ensures secure, well-documented, and maintainable runbooks as legacy systems are modernized.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on depth in security and operations, with DoD framework experience and the flexibility to support security documentation, testing, cutover planning, and automation efforts within a Federal IT

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT operations, systems engineering, or cybersecurity within Federal IT environments.
• Eligible for Secret clearance; active clearance strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of DoD security frameworks: RMF, NIST 800-53, CMMC, eMASS, and SNAP.
• Hands-on experience with security implementation activities including access control configuration, vulnerability assessment, and compliance documentation.
• Ability to produce clear, professional operational documentation for downstream teams.
• Experience supporting system testing, UAT, or cutover activities in an enterprise IT context.

Responsibilities

• Security & Compliance: support security configuration, readiness, and compliance (ICAM, RBAC, Zero Trust).
• ATO and SNAP/eMASS activities, including documentation and coordination with ISSO/ISSM.
• Security reviews per NIST 800-53, RMF, CMMC, DISA STIGs for modernized architectures.
• Remediation of security findings and configuration compliance reporting.
• IAM/security teamwork on mainframe security (RACF) and hardening guidance.
