Job summary

NTT DATA North America is seeking an experienced Mainframe Migration Architect to lead testing for complex Mainframe migration and modernization programs in the United States.

The role focuses on building testing strategies, assessing impacts across applications, data, and infrastructure, and guiding cutover readiness. You will coordinate SIT, regression, data reconciliation, performance, UAT, and validation testing with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end testing strategy for large-scale Mainframe migration and modernization programs.
• Assess application, data, infrastructure, interface, security, and operational impacts associated with migration.
• Develop risk-based testing strategies aligned with migration waves and cutover milestones.
• Lead SIT, regression, end-to-end, data reconciliation, performance, UAT, and migration validation testing.
• Define test automation, tooling, frameworks, environments, and test data strategies.
• Lead migration rehearsals, mock cutovers, deployment validation, rollback testing, and Go/No-Go readiness.
• Drive defect management, risk tracking, quality governance, and executive reporting across multiple teams.
• Coordinate with Mainframe application, infrastructure, database, security, operations, and business teams.

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Migration Architect with strong expertise in Mainframe migration and modernization programs. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience leading testing for complex Mainframe platform migrations to z/OS, with a strong understanding of migration risks, application impact, data validation, testing strategy, and cutover readiness.
