Job summary

VDart Inc. is seeking a Mainframe Developer with AI/GenAI experience for Alpharetta, GA. The role involves hands-on work with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS to design, develop, and maintain critical mainframe applications.

You will support batch jobs, perform impact analysis, and participate in SDLC activities. The ideal candidate has strong debugging and problem-solving skills, plus experience in Agile processes and production support.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Mainframe environments (z/OS, TSO, ISPF).
• Expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS required.
• Experience in application development, enhancement, and production support.
• Solid debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and release processes.

• Location: Alpharetta ,GA ( 3 days onsite)

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze business requirements and perform impact analysis.

Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications.

Develop and enhance programs using COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and JCL.

Create and maintain batch jobs, procedures, and utilities.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and application defects.

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout SDLC phases.

Support application deployments and post-production activities.

Prepare technical design and support documentation.

Required Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
