Job summary

Kforce has a client in Westlake, TX seeking a Mainframe Developer to perform as a full stack engineer, including requirements gathering, development, and testing. You'll participate in architecture design and implement application level architecture for complex projects.

The role requires deep experience with COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, MQ-Series, Java, Web Services, SQL, and batch/CICS deployments. Open source Python experience is also noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics or closely related field.
• Five years of experience in mainframe brokerage and stock plan services systems development.
• Expertise in COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, MQ-Series, Java, Web Services and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a full stack engineer with requirements gathering, development, and testing.
• Participate in architecture design teams and help define application level architecture.
• Develop applications on sophisticated projects, components, and subsystems.
• Advise senior management on technical strategy and mentor junior members.
