Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a software engineer to analyze, design, test, develop, and maintain best-in-class software experiences, aligned with our standards and DevOps practices.

You will take full stack ownership, write production-ready code, and ensure designs emphasize scalability, reliability and performance.

Collaborate with engineers, product owners, scrum masters and vendors to deliver secure, compliant solutions across the bank's technology landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Three to five years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong Cobol, DB2, JCL and VSAM knowledge.
• Experience with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps.
• Ability to communicate processes and results with engineers, product owner, scrum master, third party vendors and customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, operate and maintain products.
• Own full stack by delivering production-ready and testable code.
• Ensure designs emphasize scalability, reliability and performance.
• Analyze failures, propose design changes, and drive operational improvements.
• Ensure compliance and security best practices in all product development.
• Conduct code reviews to guide engineering best practices and adherence to procedures.
• Review tasks to ensure proper prioritization and sizing for incremental delivery.
